A story moment, featuring a cranky of Ruth Krauss’s The Carrot Seed, keep the interest of a gathering of SPROUTS and parents at Saturday’s Market. A very talented Kelly Quinn designed the cranky and told the story in English after volunteer Yady King translated the classic into Spanish.

The story moment complemented the work kids did all morning, searching to find the Spanish words for foods, colors, and people around the Market. Miami senior, Ally, ably assisted with translation and entertainment of a great group of young ones.
